The topic being: Complaining about job hunting and about how hard it is to find a job, and/or decide on what job to go for!!
And also: advice on jobs please!
I mean you get your degree, have your portfolio ready, but then you just can't decide on what type of job to go for! It is also so hard finding work after Uni! I thought once I had my degree that everything would be sorted for me, that I would find a job no problem... but boy was I wrong! And also you find out that what you have learned at Uni is no where near enough to get you in to the industry! You have to learn more on your own... damn the fake illusions on life that Uni gives you
They all want experience, but no one gives you the chance to get any! So then you have to start by doing a crappy job which is badly paid just to get the experience that you need, and then where does that leave you?
But I guess my main downfall is that I still dont really know what jobs to apply for... so this is mainly why I started the journal (and it then escalated in to a frustrated attack on job hunting!!), to ask everyones opinion. The question being: based on the work you see in my gallery, what jobs do you think I would be best suited for?
My main ambition is to aim for a digital artist/character designer position in a game or animation company. But are there other roles I could aim for?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated peeps! Does anyone also have any advice on the best ways to "get your foot in the door" so to speak? I am currently working as a game tester so that is giving me a little experience... but I am still finding it hard finding a better job... poo! I hate job hunting!
I also started this journal to get my frustration on job hunting and so on off my chest! So if anyone else needs to have a good old rant, or complain, about my topics, please feel free to chime in! The more the merrier I say!

the trick is to just take a scrappy lined paper sketchbook and doodle loads in that - that way you won't feel like you have to do a masterpiece every time you draw
